Warm up your winter with our free social events

This winter, we’re turning up the warmth across our neighbourhoods.

Posted | 22 October 2025

We’re delighted to share this year’s Winter Welcome programme – free social events for you to enjoy all season long!

Join us for a free hot drink or meal, an activity, or simply a friendly chat with others in your community.

The days may be shorter and the nights longer, but we’re here for you with lots happening to help you connect with others, get cosy, and access advice and support this winter.

What to expect

We’re teaming up with some local community organisations to host coffee mornings, cooking clubs, craft sessions and much more!  Our winter social events are all about offering you and your family a warm and welcoming space to enjoy this winter just around the corner from you.

You told us you’d like to see more variety in venues – so alongside our Neighbourhood Hubs, we’ve added other community spaces to our Winter Welcome programme.

Our programme is varied, but you can expect a free hot drink or meal at each event as well as an activity. One Manchester colleagues will also be on hand to answer any questions or concerns you might have or might need support with. From money advice, tips on energy saving, tackling and reporting damp and mould, and accessing routine health checks, our colleagues will be here to help you get ready to face the winter!

There’s no need to book – just turn up and join us at any of our social events! Spaces are limited though, so we recommend arriving early to avoid missing out. We don’t want to disappoint anyone, but once we’ve reached our maximum number, we won’t be able to offer any more spaces unfortunately.
