Spotlight on: Employment and Skills

Helping more customers succeed in 2026.

Posted | 25 March 2026

We’re excited to launch our brand‑new ‘Spotlight on’ series, in response to customer feedback that you wanted to hear more about our services and how you can access support. Every other month, we’ll shine a light on one of our services to help you understand what services you can benefit from and how we can support you.

We’re kicking things off with a service that’s making a real difference across our communities: Employment and Skills.

What does our Employment and Skills team do?

Whether you’re just starting out, currently unemployed, thinking about a career change, or returning to work after a break, we’re here to help.

We can support you with:

  • CV writing
  • Job searching and application support
  • Finding work placements, training programmes and volunteering opportunities
  • Interview preparation
  • Confidence building

Our 2025 achievements

In 2025, our team supported hundreds of customers to build their skills, prepare for work, and progress in their careers.

Here’s what we’ve achieved in 2025:

  • 220 people supported into work
  • 431 customers received 1‑to‑1 employment support
  • Matrix Accreditation successfully retained

These achievements show the real difference the team makes every day, from guiding people into new roles, supporting those returning to work, to helping customers develop new skills and confidence.

A trusted, high‑quality service – our Matrix Accreditation

We’re proud to be a Matrix Accredited provider of information, advice, and guidance (IAG). Back in 2023, we attained this Accreditation and we’re proud to retain it once again in 2025, demonstrating the high quality of our services. Matrix Accreditation is an international quality standard recognised by the Department for Education as a benchmark for ensuring the delivery of high-quality information, advice, and guidance.
