New gas and heating service provider for One Manchester customers
The way that we keep homes warm and safe is changing from 17 November.
From 17 November 2025, our new partners Ashley and McDonough Ltd will be delivering all gas and heating system servicing and maintenance for our customers. This change is part of our ongoing commitment to provide you with the highest standards of safety, reliability, and customer care.
What's changing?
- Ashley and McDonough Ltd will now handle all servicing, repairs, and maintenance for:
- Gas heating systems
- Renewable heating systems (such as air and ground source heat pumps)
- Communal and hot water heating systems
- All other gas appliances.
- All engineers are fully qualified, experienced, and easy to identify by their branded vans and official ID badges.
What stays the same?
- No disruption to your service: All existing appointments will go ahead as planned. There’s nothing you need to do.
- High standards: You’ll continue to receive the same level of care and safety you expect from One Manchester.
- Servicing of electric fires, electric panel radiators, and storage heaters: you’ll still get in touch with One Manchester about these.

If you’ve received a letter from us, this change applies to you.
If you rent your home from One Manchester — whether that’s affordable rent, market rent, or rent to buy — Ashley and McDonough Ltd will now look after your gas and heating system servicing and maintenance.
If you’re a leaseholder or shared owner, you’re not affected by this change, as you’re responsible for your own heating system.
No, there will be no disruption. All existing appointments will go ahead as planned, and your service will continue as normal.
Their engineers will arrive in branded vans and carry official ID badges, so you can easily identify them.
