On the hunt for a new job or opportunity? Maybe you’re looking for a job, getting back to work or just want a change. We’ve teamed up with Manchester City Council to bring you our Future Focus event series to help you explore work opportunities in various industries.

You'll meet employers from different sectors and learn about the skills you need to get started. And, they'll connect you with a mentor to help you. Our Employment and Skills team are here to help you through, providing you with the information, advice and support you need to take that next step. Why not pop along to one of our friendly and informal Future Focus events to learn more about the sector that you’re interested in.

Next up, we’ll be hosting events that focus on construction, hospitality and green skills. So, whether you fancy building the future in construction, serving up opportunities in hospitality, or contributing to a sustainable future with a job in green skills, there's something for everyone at our upcoming Future Focus events!

I'm interested in attending, what do I do?

If you’re interested in an event or know someone who might be, all you need to do is fill out our expression of interest form and we’ll be in touch. 

After you've filled out the form, you'll:
  • Receive an email invite to our Future Focus events
  • Go along to the events you’re interested in
  • Get booked for a 1-2-1 appointment with an employment mentor
  • Get the chance to discuss CV improvement, job applications, or finding training opportunities with your mentor

Our Employment and Skills team is dedicated to helping you build your confidence and develop your skills, all while supporting you in finding the right training and job opportunities.
