The building structure
Reinforced in situ concrete column and floor slab frame with in fill cavity masonry construction including a whole building steel framed overclad roof and fascia panels and rainscreen external wall cladding system (see below for details).
The external walls construction is:
- Alucobond A2 rainscreen cladding panels over rockwool mineral insulation. This system over clads the original clay tiles system and gable end only render cladding over mineral fibre insulation system
- Wonderwall 1 Clay Brick Slip Panel Cladding System on phenolic foam insulation (ground floor only)
- Retained “Styrofaom” polystyrene insulation spandrel panels which have been overclad with Alucobond A2 rainscreen cladding panels and rockwool mineral insulation (only located in panels below existing windows, adjacent to balconies, on “no walkway access” / rear south elevation)
- Bauclad lining to soffits of open access walkways (only located on walkway access elevation)
