Priorities for your neighbourhood

Based on your feedback, we’ve agreed the following priorities to focus on in your area.

We’ll be sharing updates on how we progress with these priorities over on our social media channels.

Priority 1: Working together with local organisations

We’ll work more closely with local community groups and organisations to make sure support and services are joined up and responsive to local needs. By working together, we can better understand what matters to our customers and local residents, improve access to support and make sure local services have the greatest impact on the community.

Priority 2: Introducing community drop-ins

We want to make it easier for our customers to speak to us face to face and get support when they need it. After reviewing attendance at previous community drop-ins, we're exploring new locations that are more convenient and accessible for local residents in Levenshulme.

We're also looking to introduce monthly drop-in sessions at Bickerdike Court and Cundiff Court. These sessions will give residents the chance to meet their Neighbourhood Officer, raise any concerns, ask questions and share ideas for improving their building and neighbourhood. Whether it's repairs, anti-social
behaviour, cleaning, environmental issues or tenancy support, we're committed to making sure your voice is heard and that support is easy to access.

You said, we're doing

Over the last few months, we’ve been out in the community listening to you. We held in-person focus groups, workshops and surveys with residents, local groups and partners to understand what matters most in your area.

You told us about:

  • What you like about your area
  • What you’d change or improve
  • How safe you feel day to day

Using everything you shared with us, we’ve agreed the key priorities for your neighbourhood. Below, you’ll see what you told us and what we’re doing in response.

You said:

"There is constant fly tipping and parking issues on Jean Close."

We're doing:

  • We’re working with Manchester City Council’s Task Force to tackle fly‑tipping in the area. This includes taking enforcement action, such as issuing fines to businesses and members of the public where fly‑tipping is identified.
  • We’ve also raised concerns with Manchester City Council about parking issues from the garage on Jean Close, where vehicles are being parked inconsistently and causing problems for customers. We’re continuing to work with the Council to seek improvements and will keep customers updated on any progress.

You said:

"We want to see more of you."

We're doing:

  • We’re busy making improvements so we can spend more time in your neighbourhood. This includes:
    • More Neighbourhood Officers - You told us you want to see us around more often, so we’ve added an extra Neighbourhood Officer to the team. We’ve also reshaped our patches across the region, which means we now have 9 Neighbourhood Officers and 1 Senior Officer. This gives each officer a smaller, more manageable area, helping them be more visible, more available, and better able to support you.
    • Tenancy Experience Visits - We visit you in your home at least once every two years for your Tenancy Experience Visit. These visits are a chance for us to get to know you better, understand how things are going in your home, and talk about any support you might need. It’s a simple way for us to stay
connected and make sure you’re getting the right help

You said:

"We’re concerned about anti‑social behaviour and want to know what’s being done."

We're doing:

  • We’re continuing to work closely with you and the Police to tackle anti‑social behaviour in the area. We’re taking action in our high‑rise buildings to help keep everyone safe and supported.
  • We regularly review ASB issues in Levenshulme and work with partner organisations so we can respond quickly and effectively when concerns are raised.
  • Our aim is to help make Levenshulme feel safer, more secure and more comfortable for everyone who lives here.

Neighbourhood Inspections

Join us as we walk around your neighbourhood and tell us about any issue you have in your local area you'd like us to address.

At Neighbourhood Inspections, we work with you to keep your neighbourhoods looking good. We assess everything from how our facilities are looking to green space upkeep, ensuring everything is in shipshape. These inspections are for reviewing outdoor areas, so if you have issues in your home, contact us or speak to your Neighbourhood Officer who can let the right team know.

Check the Neighbourhoods page to find out the date and meeting point of your next Inspection:

These updates will help you see how we’re acting on your feedback and stay in the loop with the improvements happening in your area.
