Priorities for your neighbourhood
Based on your feedback, we’ve agreed the following priorities to focus on in your area.
We’ll be sharing updates on how we progress with these priorities over on our social media channels.
Priority 1: Tackling anti-social behaviour
We’re working closely with local partners including the Police, our Community Safety team and our Neighbourhood Officers to deal with issues as they arise. We’ll keep monitoring hotspot areas and taking action to help make the neighbourhood feel safer.
Priority 2: Supporting customers with capped gas supplies
We know a number of customers in Gorton currently have capped gas supplies in their homes.
We’ll be getting in touch to understand what support you need and how we can help you get your heating back on.
Priority 3: Helping customers move to a home that's a better fit
We know some customers in Gorton are living in homes that no longer meet their needs. That’s why we’re raising awareness of the options available if
you’d like to move to a home that suits you better.
You can explore:
- Rightsizing: If your home feels too big, hard to manage or no longer right for you, Rightsizing could help you move to a smaller, easier and more affordable home.
- Mutual Exchange: This lets you swap homes with another social housing resident anywhere in the country.
We’re here to help you understand your options and support you through the process.
