Priorities for your neighbourhood

Based on your feedback, we’ve agreed the following priorities to focus on in your area.

We’ll be sharing updates on how we progress with these priorities over on our social media channels.

Priority 1: Setting up a Clinton Avenue residents group

We’ll work with local residents to set up a Clinton Avenue residents group. This will give you a stronger voice in shaping your neighbourhood, sharing ideas, and working with us on the things that matter most to you.

Priority 2: Tackling anti-social behaviour

We’ll continue to work closely with you and the Police to address anti‑social behaviour in the area. Our aim is to help make Fallowfield, feel safer and more comfortable for everyone who lives here.

Priority 3: Reducing fly-tipping and littering

We’ll focusing on addressing issues of fly‑tipping and littering in Fallowfield with a focus on Clinton Avenue and the surrounding alleyways. This includes arranging regular clean‑up days and working with local partners to take action where needed to keep the area tidy and well‑maintained. If you spot litter or fly-tipping near you make sure you report it to us or Manchester City Council as soon as possible.

You said, we're doing

Over the last few months, we’ve been out in the community listening to you. We held in-person focus groups, workshops and surveys with residents, local groups and partners to understand what matters most in your area.

You told us about:

  • What you like about your area
  • What you’d change or improve
  • How safe you feel day to day

Using everything you shared with us, we’ve agreed the key priorities for your neighbourhood. Below, you’ll see what you told us and what we’re doing in response.

You said:

"We don’t see you enough.”

You told us you don’t see us around your neighbourhood as much as you’d like, and that you want more one‑to‐one contact with our team in Fallowfield.

We're doing:

  • We now carry out Tenancy Experience Visits in your home at least once every two years. This gives us a chance to get to know you, understand your home, and talk about anything you need support with.
  • We continue to run Neighbourhood Inspections every two months. During these inspections we walk your neighbourhood, check what needs attention, and record any issues before we next meet. In this plan, you’ll find the dates for your local inspections. You’re always welcome to join us and share what you’d like to see improve.
  • You can also speak to us face‑to‑face at our weekly drop‑ins at the Place at Platt Lane, where a Neighbourhood Officer will be available for a chat.

You said:

“We’re worried about how the local area looks and feels.”

You shared concerns about the appearance of green spaces, fly‑tipping, and the general upkeep of the Fallowfield area.

We're doing:

  • We’ve made improvements to our green space service after you told us it wasn’t up to scratch. We’re now delivering this service more efficiently.
  • We’ll continue to carry out Neighbourhood Inspections every two months, and we’d love you to join us.
  • We will keep focusing on fly‑tipping and alleyway issues around Clinton Avenue and take action where needed.
  • We will also arrange regular clean‑up days to help keep the area looking its best.

At Neighbourhood Inspections, we work with you to keep your neighbourhoods looking good. We assess everything from how our facilities are looking to green space upkeep, ensuring everything is in shipshape. These inspections are for reviewing outdoor areas, so if you have issues in your home, contact us or speak to your Neighbourhood Officer who can let the right team know.

Check the Neighbourhoods page to find out the date and meeting point of your next Inspection:
