Priorities for your neighborhood

Based on your feedback, we’ve agreed the following priorities to focus on in your area.

We’ll be sharing updates on how we progress with these priorities over on our social media channels.

Priority 1: Sorting out overgrown green spaces

We’re working to resolve long‑standing issues with overgrown land, including clarifying who is responsible for maintaining different areas so we can keep them tidy and well‑looked‐after.

Priority 2: Keeping the area safe during Bonfire Night and winter events

We’ll be identifying hotspot areas, increasing patrols and removing unsafe items to help keep everyone safe and reduce problems during busy celebration periods.

Priority 3: Tackling fly‑tipping and improving greenspace maintenance

We’re taking a more proactive approach to fly‑tipping — especially around Hessop Close — and improving how we maintain shared outdoor spaces so they stay clean and welcoming.

Priority 4: Extra clean-ups after matchdays

We’ll be carrying out more frequent clean‑ups every fortnight after matchdays to help keep the area tidy and enjoyable for everyone.

You said, we're doing

Over the last few months, we’ve been out in the community listening to you. We held in-person focus groups, workshops and surveys with residents, local groups and partners to understand what matters most in your area.

You told us about:

  • What you like about your area
  • What you’d change or improve
  • How safe you feel day to day

Using everything you shared with us, we’ve agreed the key priorities for your neighbourhood. Below, you’ll see what you told us and what we’re doing in response.

You said:

“The planters and trees on Blakemore Walk need improving."

We did:

  • We’re renewing the planters and trees on Blakemore Walk to brighten up the area.

You said:

"The area gets really untidy after events, with lots of litter."

We did:

  • We’re increasing how often we litter‑pick here, especially after events, to keep the space clean and welcoming.

You said:

"Grass cutting needs to be more frequent in our greenspaces."

We did:

  • We’re looking into how we can improve the frequency of grass cutting in these areas.
