Warm Homes Discount Help Towards Winter Fuel Bills

The Warm Home Discount scheme is designed to provide people on low incomes with £140 towards their energy bills to help them over the winter months. You can still qualify for the discount if you have a pre-payment or pay as you go electricity meter.
Do I qualify for Warm Home Discount?
Those eligible for the Warm Home Discount fall into one of two groups:
- Core Group: Mainly for those on the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit. These people will automatically receive the Warm Home Discount as long as they were receiving this benefit on 7th July of the same year.
- Broader Group: Customers on a low income or means-tested benefits. These people will need to apply for the discount each year and each supplier has their own set of qualifying criteria and a limit on the number of people they can help.
