Where we are

By the spring, we will have finished retrofitting 94 of our customers’ homes by installing insulated external cladding, new roofs, windows, doors, and replacing the gas supply with renewable energy. This will improve the insulation of homes and cut down on heat loss, making homes warmer, more energy efficient, and more cost effective to run. 

What's next?

Our priority is to invest in our homes and deliver great services for our customers who live on the Grey Mare Lane estate.

Next

We’ve also identified some properties for demolition that we will replace with new social housing. Customers who live in these homes have already been notified, and work is well underway to find those affected with alternative accommodation. The first phase of demolition is due to start in the spring, and we’ll be in touch with further details in the coming weeks.

Manchester City Council is leading on the overall Masterplan for the area, and we remain committed to working in partnership with the council and other partners to ensure the best possible outcome for the local community.
