Working hard to make sure that our customers are happy and comfortable in their homes is a priority.

Our adaptations work means that we take into consideration special requirements that a customer might have, so that they can move freely in their home.

This work might be because of mobility issues related to age or a disability, or any other need which means life around the home is unnecessarily difficult.

Our Assets team recently worked with a Longsight couple who needed a stairlift fitting, as well as some changes made to their bathroom.

Mr and Mrs Tallon had contacted us to let us know that due to mobility issues, they were finding it difficult to use the stairs as easily as they once could. Keen to make their daily life more manageable, we arranged for an appointment with one of our surveyors to provide a health and safety check.

Besides difficulty climbing the stairs, the appointment also found that the bathroom needed to be made more accessible them. To do this the bath was removed and a wet room installed so that the could safely move around and use the room each day.

They were delighted with the end result and were happy to have the freedom which these changes gave back to them.

We are proud to be one of Manchester’s lead providers of major adaptation work, and to be able to help provide an improved quality of life for customers in their homes.

Simply put, a major adaptation to a home means any adaptation or major change valued above £1,000.

We work closely with the team at Manchester City Council to make these changes wherever they are needed, and we’re directly involved in designing and installing the changes that the customer needs.
