If you’re not sure where to start, we have some handy booklets to keep track of your outgoings on our website. Simply visit our ‘Spending Diary’ or ‘Budget Buster’ articles, or send an email to email@example.com to receive a copy.
The booklets will help you look at your spending and work out where you could make some small changes to make savings.
For example, do you shop on an empty stomach? It’s a well-known fact that shopping when you are hungry will make you spend more when tempted to buy items you do not need. Do you regularly give your children money to buy treats on the way to or from school? Instead, you could buy some snacks at the supermarket and pop them in bags for the kids to take during the week.
Once you have identified where you can make savings, you can start putting this money into a savings account or use a savings app.
