In light of the Government announcement last night about further restrictions placed on households in Greater Manchester and parts of East Lancashire and West Yorkshire, we have been reviewing the impact on our colleagues, customers and communities and coordinating with other providers in our region. As it stands at the moment, the restrictions are in regards to people meeting with other households socially and not in relation to going out to work or continuing with work related activities.
The announcement states that “people living inside and outside of this area can continue to travel in and out for work. Workplaces must implement Covid-19 Secure guidance”. Therefore, at this stage we are continuing to provide our services as planned. You can find all the latest information on our service levels here.
We have implemented many measures to ensure we are operating in a Covid-19 Secure way and that the safety of our customers and colleagues remains of the highest priority. We would encourage all of those living in our communities to remain ever vigilant whilst at work and in your personal lives as the threat from this virus remains in our region, country and across the world.
This is a situation that we are monitoring closely and we will be keeping a close eye on the number of infections and the R rate in the region, as well as closely monitoring any further changes in government guidelines and at a local level with Manchester City Council and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
