We will be closed for Christmas from 5.30pm on Thursday 23rd December and re-open at 8am on Tuesday 4th January. Emergency repairs only can be reported on 0330 355 1000 during this period. You can report all repairs via your online account which will be picked up once we re-open.

The Trussell Trust - Search for your local foodbank on their website. 

Mental Health

The Sanctuary - This is an overnight, every night service providing a place of safety and support for adults living in Manchester. It is for people who feel that they are at crisis point and living with difficulties such as panic attacks, depression and low mood. Phone 0161 637 0808, 8pm-6am every night.

Samaritans - They offer confidential emotional support. This can be by telephone, email, letter and face-to-face for people in distress. Phone 116 123. Open 24 hours a day.

Saneline - They provide emotional support and information. 0300 304 7000.  6pm-11pm daily. Open 6pm–11pm every day.

Cornerstone Day Centre - A day centre providing services to adults facing a wide range of social issues including homelessness, poverty, social isolation, poor mental health, drug and alcohol addiction. They operate an open door policy so everyone is welcome. 104b Denmark Road, Manchester, M15 6JS. Phone 0161 232 8888.  


If you are homeless or about to become homeless, Manchester City Council’s Housing Solutions Service may be able to help. They offer telephone advice, so please phone or email them before going in person. This could stop you from having a long wait to be seen.

If you are already homeless and do not have a connection to Manchester, they may refer your application to another authority.
