The Manchester emblem has taken on a different, colourful form as the heart of the Bee in the City trail, a public art project which sees individually designed honeybee sculptures popping up in different spots and suburbs of the city.
Each bee has it's own unique design created by local artists and community groups, and we're buzzing to have sponsored The Bee With No Name in Levenshulme!
For this design the artist has been inspired by the community spirit in this lively area of Manchester. Painted on the bee are local favourites and iconic images including Levenshulme Old Library, the market, and the 192 bus.
The bee has found it's home near our brand new development site, Atlas Place, which will soon become 64 homes, a mix of 2 bedroom apartments and 3 and 4 bedroom houses. The homes on this development will be available with both shared ownership and rent to buy, giving people the chance to buy a home that they might not otherwise have been able to afford.
Keep an eye out for The Bee With No Name, snap a picture and send it in to us on Twitter as we'd love to see it!
