We are delighted to announce that our work placement and volunteer manager, Sarah Thornber, has been named as a finalist in this year’s ERSA (Employment Related Services Association) Employability Awards, in the Advisor of the Year award category.
The Employability Awards celebrate all the best work from across the employment support sector, and this year the competition for a finalist place was fierce as they received over 130 submissions across ten categories!
Sarah’s fantastic work has seen a transformation in the way we help people back into employment. One of the biggest barriers for the long-term unemployed is a lack of recent experience, and these barriers are being knocked down thanks to the work placement and volunteering programme set up by Sarah. The programme allows people to gain valuable experience, update their skills, and increase their confidence to improve their chances of getting back into work.
The winners of the Employability Awards will be announced at a special ceremony held in London on 29 June. We want to wish Sarah the very best of luck and hope she gains the recognition she deserves for all her brilliant work.
