Live better, help often, wonder more
The Sunday Assembly celebrates communities coming together with the motto ‘live better, help often, wonder more’, and is about to bring its positive vibes to Manchester. It’s not a religion; just a celebration of life and everyone is welcome regardless of their beliefs. It’s free to attend, not-for-profit and volunteer run.
Manchester will have the chance to experience Sunday Assembly’s positive vibes and mission of bringing communities together. Taking place on the second Sunday of every month, assemblies start at 11am and finish at 1pm and are totally free to attend.
Each assembly has a theme and the first hour is the main event with everyone singing together (famous pop songs played by a live band), hearing inspiring talks, reflecting on the important things in life and generally have some fun and celebrating being alive! The second hour is a chance to meet new people, chat and talk about the issues raised whilst enjoying tea, coffee and cake.
The intention is to empower local communities and create the space for real human connection, something they believe is missing in our modern lives. If you would like to be involved, either to help organise events, play in the band, be a speaker or a poet, lead a peer-to-peer support group or help in some other way then get in touch!
Come along and get a feel for the movement that is bringing communities together.
