You should check before you make any new claims. Our One Money team can offer help and advice, and can make sure you claim the correct benefits.
They may be able to help by offering reduced tariffs or payment holidays.
They offer lots of help on reducing your water bill and may be able to offer a payment holiday.
Talk to your creditors, you may be able to temporarily reduce your repayments, or get a payment holiday. The One Money Team can also offer help and advice around debt issues.
Reduce your shopping bill
There are lots of ways to reduce the amount you spend on food. For example meal planning can help, as it means you only buy what you need.

The Bread and Butter thing is a community food provision, which receives food from supermarkets, factories ans farms that would otherwise go to waste. Shopping can be collected from the nearest TBBT collection point, which is assigned to you when you sign up, and depends on your postcode. The first week is free!
A typical family order is three pre-packed bags - fridge goods, cupboard goods and fruit and veg, for just £7.50. The products vary each week depending on what's available. Single people can pay £4.00 and larger families can double up and pay £15.00. To sign up, send a text to 07860 063 256 with your full name and postcode a week before you'd like to use the service.
Healthy Me Healthy Communities operate a Grab & Go project. Customers can collect pre-packed bags of tinned and fresh goods, which cost £2.00 for a single person and £4.00 for a family. New customers can register on the day, but there may be a waiting list. Click the link above to find out more.
